Marie-Anne is a chartered physiotherapist working with therapeutic massage and craniosacral therapy. Initially trained in Swedish massage (as part of her physiotherapy degree) in 1992, she is equally comfortable with providing therapeutic massage for a particular problem (including trigger point therapy as required) or with providing a relaxing massage to relieve the stresses and strains of daily life.

If you have a particular problem, she can assess it, and supplement treatment with relevant stretching, strengthening and postural exercises. She can also use therapeutic taping and strapping, and mobilise joints as required. She is trained to analyse posture and movement and to help people re-train normal movement, re-balancing how they use their muscles, if they are overusing some and underusing others. 

Marie-Anne uses craniosacral therapy to "reach the parts her other therapies can't reach". Trauma of any sort, physical or emotional, can be stored in the mind-body system, and can show up as problems such as backache, digestive problems, depression, irritability, fatigue,  sleep problems, confidence problems, even relationship problems.

Craniosacral Therapy is good at releasing stored trauma from the system in a gentle and controlled way, through very gentle touch, holding, and "listening" to the body. Clients remain clothed for this therapy.
