Hi my name is Maxime Neill. I spent many years, as a judo player and this is where I had my first encounter of this rewarding profession. I injured my shoulder and at the time had a very important competition coming up. After a few sessions with an osteopath I was back to literally my ‘fighting’ self. I soon decided to pursue a career in Osteopathy and four years later I graduated with my masters degree from the British school of Osteopathy.

Since qualifying I have worked in private practice in North London and about a year ago decided to make a move back to my hometown of Edinburgh. I love treating a wide variety of patients from sports, pregnancy and geriatrics. I have also taken on a brilliant role in teaching anatomy and neurology to advance remedial massage students in Edinburgh.

Prior to completing my degree I also gained diplomas in Swedish and sports and remedial massage therapies. I am also qualified in medical acupuncture.

My background in martial arts has allowed me first hand to witness the demands placed on the body not only whilst in training, but also when training ceases and old injuries re-emerge. I am passionate about helping patient’s get their bodies back to optimal health.

I am a keen runner, although 5 kilometres tends to be my limit. I have completed a few charity runs over the past year. I occasionally train at a local boxing gym, which I love.
